If you go to more then one big outdoor dealer you typically get a good overview what is on the market and mostly the consultancy is good. But some brands are not sold there or the products are not requested often enough to be sold. The majority of the links you’ll find now will direct you to these brands and products, but also to my current gear or gear from my wishlist.
- Bergans
Norwegian manufacturer of all kind clothes and outdoor equipment. Their merino base layer clothes also have a good reputation. - Edelrid
German brand of the german Vaude company. They produce climbing equipment and good value stoves. I own the Hexon Multifuel and the Dragon 2 Gas stove. Both work great and were compared to Primus cheap. - Exped
Swiss manufacturer of all kind of outdoor gear. They produce my very comfortable downmat 9 LW. Great mat but not really lightweight a friend own a synmat works also great. - Helinox
Dutch Manufacturer of light camping chairs, tables and beds. There are already several copies of their product on the market but only Leki and Thermarest produce products in comparable quality. I wouldn’t take even those light products with me for weight sensitive trips. You can sit on your luggage, stones, logs or whatever. Things like that just make sense on meetings or if you spend a lot of time at campsites. - Helsport
Norwegian manufacturer of tipi tents and stoves but also normal tents, sleeping bags and backpacks. Not as lightweight then the two Americans but maybe more durable because of more rigid material - Kifaru International
American manufacturer of tipi tents and stoves but also hunting gear. Very lightweight and perfect for outdoor activities in winter. - Leki
Austrian manufacturer of poles for all kind of sports and the only alternative to the Helinox chairs. - Nahanny
Romanian manufacturer of down sleeping bags and cloths. I heard several recommendations and think about buying my next sleeping bag from them. - Seek Outside
American manufacturer of tipi tents and stoves. Very lightweight and perfect for outdoor activities in winter. - Sierra Designs
American manufacturer of very interesting Tents but also sleeping bags backpacks etc. At bever.nl I bought their Flashlight 2. Quality is very good and condensation of the single wall construction is very low in summer condition. - Therm a Rest
German manufacturer well known for their sleeping mats. After 2 recommendations and one night on a Neoair XLite it is on top of my wishlist to have a light alternative to my exped downmat. - Titanium Goat
American manufacturer of tipi tents and stoves. Very lightweight and perfect for outdoor activities in winter. - Uquip
German brand of the Danish company Skanfriends. The table and the stool are cheap lightweight alternatives to the Helinox products. Both sold by Louis. - Vaude
German manufacturer of all kind clothes and outdoor equipment. I bought most of my cycling gear and T-shirts from them. They also produce good value tents like my old green Hogan or the quite unique Power Lizard and Chapel. They are located on my way to work but it’s not just ease why I bought their products. - Yeti Poland
Polish manufacturer of down sleeping bags and cloths. Don’t mix them up with the german brand Yeti. Also very interesting stuff.
None of these companies made any kind of deal with me, I don’t have an advantage by linking them.
