Day 7, 2015.05.19 Kolasin

I began my day with changing the sprocket of my bike from original 16 to 15. On the roads and tracks I expect now is an increased torque at low speed more useful than the topspeed and my clutch will also be thankful for it too. After that I started were I couldn’t in 2013 I drove around the Slanzko Jezero. It’s the most beautiful lake I’ve ever seen and I can just recommend driving that gravel road around. It is not very difficult and on the west side there are several nice options for wild camping.

When I stopped to buy some supplies a curious little boy pushed his father towards my bike. I offered the boy to sit on it the boy just answered tomorrow. The father and I just had to lough. My next target was reaching Plav in Montenegros Ski areas over some mountain gravel roads. I crossed wonderful high plateaus and an area that must have been part of a bushfire. For the gamers it reminds to some Diablo landscape I think.

The tracks I choose were in most parts easy gravel or moderate. But I also found some race tracks were I could release all my 49 horses

The snowfield on the picture forced me to take another way the next 5 snowfield forced me to go all the way back to Niksic because all ways in the mountains were blocked. The decision not to try it was wise.  Probably I had to cross that snow field twice. I tried it with an easier one later and reached one Meter no chance. To make it a perfect day, I had rain the whole way back and streams on the streets.

From Niksic I took the motorway to get as near as possible to my target, but in Kolasin I capitulated to a thunderstorm and was hiding in Brila Hotel. The hotel was pretty nice and the women at the reception spoke even german. The English of my waiter was also very good we had a long conversation about climate and landscape of Montenegro.
